Creative Resisters: Hopecore - How to tell stories of peace, democracy, and a new world

We are at a unique moment in history where profound changes must be made to ensure we live in peace among ourselves and with the planet. As creators we have the vision, human insight, and communication skills to help people imagine a better society and their place within it. We can provide models of compassionate and courageous action to give them the strength to bring our collective aspirations to reality. Right here, right now, people are ready to consider a beautiful future unlike the world with which they have been struggling. We are not talking about utopia, but a functional world - a democratic world, where we are all more able to care for and cooperate with one another. I have in the past developed courses to help people write Hopecore fiction. I will be bringing relevant parts from one of these to the Creative Resisters event. Come join us and learn how to write Hopecore short stories, comics, novels, films, computer games, and more! In Peace and Democracy Katherine Phelps BA (Hons), MFA, PhD
