Postcards for California: Vote Yes on Redistricting to Save Democracy

Let's get the word out to "Vote Yes" November 4th for Proposition 50. Prop 50 is Gavin Newsom's response to the Texas gerrymandering of congressional districts. It is rightly named "Election Rigging Response Act." Join members of American River Democrats Club each Wednesday morning through October 29, as we write postcards encouraging people to vote yes on Prop 50. We will be at Cafe' Madre starting at 9:30 AM and continuing until 11:00 AM. Drop in any time or stay the entire time. You will be given a set of postcards, and suggested wording to guide your own messages; you'll be assigned to address and write cards from a defined list of names of voters in our region. You can even take your postcards home with you to do your writing and addressing in the comfort of your own home. You'll get to enjoy the camaraderie of other Democrats writing postcards and you'll be able to order your favorite drink and snacks at the same time! This is one of the most effective means for getting out the vote! Your participation makes a huge difference in this election - and perhaps also on the 2026 elections, nationwide. Please RSVP, so we can anticipate the number of attendees for this event. And share this with like-minded friends!
