Revitalizing Rural America: Policies that Work

Submit your email address to register for this Workshop on November 10th at 1 pm ET/ 10 am PT. The event, which is part of the Beyond Resistance campaign, will feature a discussion of two rural policy platforms: the Rural New Deal and the Rural Policy Action Report. The discussion will be led by Michael Chameides of the Rural Democracy Initiative (RDI), and Anthony Flaccavento of the Rural Urban Bridge Initiative. Both platforms offer specific policies and action plans to help revitalize rural communities and address a range of challenges they face. RDI spearheaded the effort to develop the Rural Policy Action Report in partnership with over 40 other rural groups and leaders, while RUBI worked with Progressive Democrats of America and 20 rural development practitioners from across the country to author the Rural New Deal. There will be ample time for discussion of these plans and other rural policy ideas participants may bring. Zoom links and reminders will be emailed within 24 hours before the event. A recording will be sent to everyone who registers for this event.
