Write Letters to California Voters

Join Vote Forward and volunteers across the country to write letters to voters in California! On November 4, 2025, California voters will have the opportunity to vote directly to support or oppose Proposition 50, the Election Rigging Response Act. Vote Forward is organizing a powerful campaign to reach likely Democratic voters who are relatively unlikely to vote—and we need your help. The outcome of the vote on this measure could help determine which party controls the U.S. House after the 2026 midterms–making voter turnout all the more important. We’re writing letters and sending them no later than October 28, to ensure they arrive when they’ll have the most impact on turnout. Whether you’re writing letters for the first time or if you’re an experienced letter writer looking to refine your message, this event is for you! The most common question we receive at Vote Forward is: "what should I write?" This letter writing event is the personalized, in-depth answer to that question. Vote Forward staff will help you craft an effective, personal message to voters. In addition to the training, you'll join volunteers from across the country to learn more about the impact of the letters we’re writing, and have your letter writing questions answered by the Vote Forward team! Letter Writing is proven to increase voter turnout, and you can do it with a group of friends or on your own from the comfort of your couch. Plus, it’s one of the easiest ways to turn your anger, passion, and hope into real action. RSVP today, and we’ll let you know how to join this event. Invite your friends and family, too and encourage them to become letter writers this year! Never written letters before? No problem! Visit [votefwd.org/instructions](https://votefwd.org/instructions) for all the information you need, and sign up for an account at votefwd.org/standupamerica. Then you can download letters from the campaign of your choice, and we’ll offer guidance on how to write and prepare your letters at our event!
